This Week in Ner Yaakov – May 4, 2006Date: May 4, 2006by: Ezra Daitchman - Shana Bet News Correspondent Week's Events This past week in Ner Yaakov the summer z’man started. Ok, we were really supposed to start the week before - but none of the students knew when they should come back. So what better way to start off the week, with shmooooze’s. On Monday, we had the opportunity to hear from Rav Neugerschal who spoke to the Yeshiva about Yom Hazikaron and Yom Ha’atzmaut. On Tuesday we had the pleasure of our very own Rabbi Golding share with us his experiences as a soldier in the Israeli Defense Forces. And then came Wednesday - a day to remember - Uzi’s was closed!!!! Well, it didn’t turn out so bad because we had the annual Ner Yaakov BBQ & baseball game in Gan Sacher: The Talmidim vs. Rabbeim and dorm counselors. Thank you to all the Rebbitzens who helped with the bbq. Sports We wish hatzlacha to the Ner Jake baseball team who will be playing a double header on Friday. Ner Jake is 2-0 under coach Justin Cohen. This Shabbos is an In-Shabbos hosted by Rabbi Schwartz and Family. |
