This Week in Ner Yaakov - March 17, 2006Date: March 17, 2006 Purim was upon us this past week in Ner Yaakov. Purim began on Monday night, and Tuesday, for the cities outside Yerushalayim, and Tuesday night and Wednesday for Yerushalayim. Everyone knows how machmir we all are here in Ner Yaakov, so we were celebrating Purim from Monday night until Thursday morning. Bochrim were all invited to Rabbeims’ houses inside, and outside of Yerushalyim. The plan was for everyone to end up in the Ner Yaakov dining room, where Rabbi Liff and the Rebbetzin were waiting. A lot of people made it to see them, some didn’t, but everyone is, baruch Hashem, alive and well. I spoke to many people, heard a lot of great stories, everyone had an amazing time. Coming and Going I apologize, for not mentioning, my Rebbe, Rabbi Sondhelm’s return from America last week. I hope your trip was as fun as it was successful. Sports Mazel Tov! And congratulations to the Ner Yaakov A team. You won the hockey championship, and our hearts last Motzei Shabbos. Everyone played their hearts out, and the dancing after the game was so motivating and uplifting for everyone in the Yeshiva, and it was a perfect way to enter Purim. Farewell for Now As the winter zman comes to an end, I would extend my heartfelt hakoras hatov to all the Rabbis and Rebbetzens for the most amazing zman ever. IY”H Everyone will be back for post Peasach zman, and good luck to everyone in America. |
